@Carlos - Glad to see people randomly post about Russian Circles. Been tuning in since their first album. Got to see them a few times now. Turncrantz is a super, super nice dude.

Been listening to Tortoise, Cinematic Orchestra, Bad Brains, Operation Ivy and Bill Evans at the house. In the car I've been rocking Hooded Menace, Brimley's 303 tape, Rhythum and Noddy Headed. Them tapes... good shit dudes.

Damn straight! Haven't made it to the new Godflesh LP yet 'cause I got hesitant over the weak sounding drum machine on New Dark Ages. Bad excuse- Decline & Fall was pretty gnarly.

Just found out today that both Isaiah Owens & The Spaceape passed away recently... Sucks man. Gave Tremulant, Megaton Shotblast, Black Sun & Memories of the Future a few spins in respect.

Saw Owens a couple of times with Mars Volta & he always seemed to have a blast on stage, the man's performances were pure joy. Dude seemed infectiously happy playing the trippy stuff. Can't doubt his chops on the keys either, the number of places he turns up is proof enough: El-P, Mastodon, Free The Robots, Saul Williams...

Spaceape, sheeeeit what a voice. Such an understated delivery gave him a rare gravity. Heard his spoken versions of Ghost Town and Sign Of The Times? Reckon he could read a chinese takeaway menu & make it unsettling. Especially gutted this means there'll never be another Cult of the 13th Hour tune, 2 isn't enough.

RIP to both.

oh man you're great, this music is great, life's pretty great bottom line.

It's weird my old me who listened to russian circles is so different to the "me" right now, bumping childish gambino's new mixtape.

Listening to double cassette by Blu, Good to be Home. Hottest hip hop album of the year, next to Madlib and Freddie Gibbs "Pinata".

Man I got that Blu album and listened to it on headphones, home theater speakers and in my car but every time it seemed like they just turned the beat down, overdubbed vocals and cranked the highs way up so it sounds terrible. Is it different on cassette though?
Blu is dope though, her favorite colour is a great album of his.
