- yeh I only just pulled it out in the last few days, my Tascam 244... it's maybe was 2003 i used it last because i burned out two channels looping feedback tones, so it's currently a two-track (and in this tune i just used one channel to capture the 808...the SP's onboard multi is so limited for capturing realtime playing it's not worth the effort). Replacing degraded drivebelts in the machine with kitchen-drawer rubber bands seems to have resurrected it and I'm loving its eq's
Hope to get it fully repaired sometime... meanwhile a little picture of my current setup -- in the short term need some more cables to get everything talking to each other/improve workflow, but it's kicking for the time being:
