daedelus?

I'm intrigued by this guy, but he's done like a million albums, can anyone suggest a choice few to get started with?

Honestly all of his albums are different from each other but I would recommend Righteous Fists of Harmony. Really cool stuff on there

This guy, man. This fuckin guy. Fucking Alfred Darlington. I really used to be in love with his music. Haven't listened in a while, but back in '09 i'd listen to his stuff almost religiously. He has some truly great music. It's a damn shame the stuff he makes now sounds nothing like it. I'm sure the IDM crowd loves it & he looks like he's having fun with the whole Dub Lab club/ rave scene, but god damn man, the way he used to arrange samples and original music and drum tracks and vocals and just god damn. It couldn't even be called hip hop, or beat music, and you certainly couldn't play it in a dance club, but whatever it was it had a very honest, unique, and emotional feel, track after track after track. I really just can't get into his new stuff whatsoever. I even went to see him play live in Ann Arbor a year or two ago, even live & watching him play his funky monome, i just couldn't get behind it. At least i could say i saw one of my favorite musicians live, although with the same reservation that it must feel like to see a band like Rush play in 2014. Ok, that may not be a fair analogy, but like i said his old style is just not there anymore. Anyways let me help you out with my tier list:

God Tier:
Exquisite Corpse
Throw a Fit EP
Denies the Day's Demise

Awesome Tier:
Of Snowdonia
A Gent Agent
Invention

Comfy Tier:
Just Briefly
Household EP
Rethinking the Weather

Meh Tier:
everything post 2008

Anyways, don't take my word for it, listen for yourself. Now excuse me while go revisit all these albums.

Ah man, don't you just hate that, I've had the same thing with bands and artists, thing is sometimes they go the other way and keep churning out the same stuff and you fall out of love with it for that reason. Cheers for the tiered system man! Ha ha, I'm weirdly ocd for music and I respect your filing! :-)

All I've checked so far is Righteous Fists of Harmony. It's really based though.

Man, watching/listening to this for a third straight time - holy. The Woody Woodpecker drop.. goodness! I been listening to a few of his albums both the older originals up to the newer stuff and Corpse is still easily my fav. (I mean DOOM and Busdriver just make it..)

The older ones I thought okay, but a little unfocussed, like sketches that couldv'r used some editing for album format (i mean specifically Invention and Righteous Fists) and the newer stuff I found a little too 'busy' somehow, but after seeing this Boiler Room set I think I'm ready to go back to Bespoke with fresh ears...

Composite parts for a remix of Impending DOOM from Exquisite Corpse, including the acapella... nice.

seems like a parallel story to Bonobo. both on ninja tune making awesome trip hop with live instrumentation then went all 4/4 down tempo clubby. been following him for over 10 years and he just released the first thing i haven't liked :(

dont wanna thread jack but you all might dig these titles from Bonobo:

Dope:
Animal Magic - 2000
Dial 'M' For Monkey - 2003

Good:
Days To Come - 2006
Black Sands - 2010 (starting to get IDM-y)

Clubby:
The North Borders - 2013 (IDM but still good)
Flashlight - 2014 (EDM boring)

...in my opinion...
