how to?

was up guys im new to the forums..recently i just bought an sp-404..im having some issues when i want to sample somtething from a vinyl i get a low quality effect i dont have a mixer and i just bought an amplifier to see if that would work.but it didnt i borrowed a mixer and it doesnt even sampl what am i doing wrong am i hookig up the cables on the wrong rca's..how do you guys do it.sorry if its hard to understand but i can hardly speak english thanx for the help guys.

Sounds like u may have things hooked up wrong. When u plug the turntable plugged into the mixer make sure it goes into phono input and thats its set to phono. And run the rcas out of the master output of the mxier into the input of the the sampler.
