When I record into my 404sx a longer piece of audio(like a few minutes long)I will sometimes play the track back and hear a minor pop or glitch in the audio. It only seems to happen when I record into the sp and not during resample and it only happens every other time with a longer piece if audio. I should note that I haven't updated the software on it and I will try that to see if it solves my issue but I thought I'd post my question on the chance that it doesn't....any help would be great.

I've heard that keeping your card relatively empty (i.e. less than half full) helps and that you should reformat now and then.

Also of note, keep in mind that solid state memory has a finite number of times you can write on it. If it's an old card, might be time to get a new one...

I have found 404SX lag and glitches when resampling occur when the SD card is heavily fragmented and has lots of large files. Search the forums I posted a topic discussing it but basically you can try defragmenting the SD card on a computer and choose the "move large files to the end of drive" option if you have defrag software that supports this. i use Defraggler on PC.

I've figured out my issue.i have a card with a slow write speed(like29mb or sometihng)so I bought a San disk extrem which has like 90 ish so I should be okay now. I discovered the root of my problem in another older thread on here and hopefully hat will help bc the card that I was using was a brand new card so I knew it wasn't the fragmenting thing.
