Chop question, Only does to one pad?
Before I used to chop and it would go all to 16 pads. I just sampled from my record player. I put it on one pad. Went into chop mode. I tried on all levels, 1-10. It still just chops onto ONE pad. And its at least 30 secs long. I dont know what im doing, I remember being able to chop into all 16 pads. I also did all the, 1/1, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128, etc, etc.
Please help me out.

30 seconds definitely is too long, you might want to try max 7 or 8 seconds or so and do it 3 or 4 times so you get the entire 30 seconds you wanted to chop up.
Sometimes it doesn't matter how long a sample is and it just won't autochop right, that's when normalizing is indeed a good idea.

I still dont understand. I before used my ipod to sample onto one pad. Then I would chop it into t he 16 pads.
I know am using my record player to sample. I only did 3-4 secs. I tried chopping and it would only go to 2 pads if I did lvl 1 chop. Then I tried to do longer, 7-9 secs. Only does 1 pad when I try to chop. Someone tell me what I need to do?

Ok. Ill hit sample on my 606. Ill choose a pad. I have the record player hooked up to my 606. I hit record. I record for a few secs. I tried 3-4 and 7-8 secs long. I hit func + chop. I try all the different levels of chops, 1-10. It says, "Successfully Chopped" or something but it only shows that it chopped to ONE pad. Then it says would you like to execute. I want it to chop it to 16 pads.
How do I manually chop?

the easiest way for me to chop a sample to all sixteen pads is to break down your sample and find the parts you want to use. then use the clip board and copy that same sample to all sixteen pads. then use the sample loop edit feature. Go in the sample edit menu and trim/truncate each pad to get whatever part of the sample you want. I hope this helps.
