Ornette, Charles Brackeen, Alice Coltrane, his solo material, his family's music, etc... So much great music made by the man. The lp in the pic is "closeness," a collection of duets that is so infinitely sampleable, it's almost as if they KNEW that there would be hip hop.

And now Tommy Ramone too. Sad weekend for music.

Lots of great music from those two. I stumbled upon that closeness album in a dollar bin and was floored. I also just got a hold of his liberation music orchestra not in our name. Really great large band arrangements. Haden was a tremendous talent. RIP.

RIP!! Charlie Haden was the man.
