Anyone here tried the SPD-S or SPD-SX? Got a good deal on one, came with the drum stand, cords, even a dual footswitch.
So far it's nice, definitely not as fun/immediate to sample on as the SP series but has really nice effects (up to 3 I think?), 2GB built in memory, nice pitch and timestretch (more like MV quality, not the brutally obvious SP style)
Looking for tips/tricks if anyone has any, there is very little online or youtube of real use

Re: Got an SPD-SX
Update:
Well, the SPD-SX is definitely cool - but something about it makes a little harder to use than i'd thought...i guess it has a lot of menu diving, and the effects are harder to switch/change settings for....I'm used the SP555, and how easy it is to tweak effects, use effect memory, etc.
Still recommended, but definitely more as a companion piece for a drummer, or used combined with another sampler/keyboard.
