SP 505 unfinished beat tape

Post by asha c »

Never got round to finishing this, was only really to help me get to grips with the sp 505, wanted to make stuff using mostly samples which i haven't really done before. Kind've lost the momentum of it so thought I'd share what I managed to record anyway, taken straight off the cassette (recorded with tascam 424 mk 3) cheers

The stuff sounds dope!
A few more tracks and maybe some things put in between and you'd have an ill tape.
At least you had guts enough to post it for people to hear. And not let it collect dust.

I'm working on a tape myself. Got a 45 minute tape full of all kinds of tidbits. Still working on stuff. Piecing things together and making it all flow in a steady stream.
I try to record a little something every night when I get home. There has been time when I went weeks go by where I haven't worked on anything, just listen to records. But I think listening and digging is work involved in the tape making process too.
It's tough to keep motivated to make and FINISH the tape.
Alot of times you just want to listen to others' music. But sometimes that inspires you to work on beats even more.

But enough of my rant. Nice stuff.
Would like to hear more. Keep making music.
