Hi all
I recently sold my 505 to upgrade to a 404sx, but I've seen the 555's been getting some love and was kinda curious if it might be an alternative - they seem to go for similar £££
Main reason I wanted a change was for a faster workflow and I heard the sx processed faster - I like to resample a lot and mangle. Obv the 404sx has portability which is cool but the trip5 seems like its got a lot going on with the loop capture, extra pads and even the dbeam looks pretty sweet (though at first I thought it'd be kinda lame it looks pretty good as a trigger..)
So I guess what I'm saying is any advice, fanboyism or points of view to help me decide would be appreciated!

ive got a 404sx and i been lookin real hard at 555s this week
i am interested after covering the bases i really wanted from the sx, sd & wv compatibility so it easily gets along with my confuter and mpc2000xl with an sd drive
and the battery power of the sx would be really missed if my sole sp were the 555
but the loop capture, velocity sensitivity, more dedicated knobs and buttons, and audio/midi interface ability are what interest me in the machine
also ive got a 2gb sandisk cf card i aint usin right now so free max card mem is a personal plus
