cool man, interesting those old computer hippies are . good knowledge about sampler and synth history too.

a cool part is when, at 40mins circa thay start talkin about sp12 and 1200, and they seem to not know why those machines influenced hiphop

Ive had an sp12 Turbo and sp1200. Got rid of the 1200. With the Turbo 5 seconds is easily enough time to lay down beats without the hassle of saving samples and beats to disks and is built much sturdier. The Turbo(and the 12) save everything internally, the 1200 doesn't. Grab one before they're extinct.
