it's already getting frustrating working with the 202's great limitations, but at the same time, it's so extremely satisfying to see yourself do something under great limitations...

I get what you're saying. there's things you can do that you can't do with other machines. I like changing the delay parameters in realtime to get a glitchy feel, this and also the filters. And what's cool too is using the timestretch to its lowest setting, like at around 22bpm, it's almost like a faint tremolo.

I actually owned a Korg ESX1-SD from 2010 - 2013... you see I got it when I really started getting into producing and I had watched some documentaries my dad had from the mid 90s on dance music and I was like FUCK YEAH HARDWARE! so I bought it

then I got into computer producing and modern EDM and shit almost immediately after and lost all interest in the esx ("wtf, this doesn't even make monster growls") and tried to sell it for 2 years, and finally did around november of last year... BIGGEST REGRET IN THE WORLD LOL

I started actually getting into lofi hiphop all of the sudden pretty much when 2014 started, and then I was finally convinced to get a 202, and the entire time I'm like MAN THAT ESX WOULD BE FUCKING PERFECT RIGHT NOW
god damn dual tube saturation and the plethora of effects (and hefty sequencer)

so yeah, just starting from scratch now, 202, bare bones... I actually started messing with slaving it to ableton the other day and it was hella fun, but I'm not going to do that right now, I want to learn to use it alone
