SP 404 vs 404sx ...worth the difference?

hi guys!
I'm an old sp user, from the classic sp 808 and sp202 , I use till now an sp303 and sp505.
I have other machines and synths and use a lot of computer programming , my genre is idm , experimental electronica and glitch.
I perform live using an elektron octatrack , computer freeliveset, but I have a lot of problem to get it sound right with soundsystems , p.a. etc....
I've tried to use the sp505 instead of the ot but there's not enought memory for all the loops, slices etc.. but it sounds really good.
I had a sp404 borrowed from a friend for two weeks and I find it can work well to perform live in the place of the octatrack.
Now I 'm looking for a 404 but I'm not sure if I have to get the classic or the sx... the third choice could be the 555 to have the looper..
Here in italy I found the classic with 1GB cf at 200 euro, the SX as new at 280 euro, and the 555 in a range from 250 to 300.
Is it worth to pay the extra money for the sx??

The convenience and size of SD cards on SX is nice, but 404 has gritter, phatter sound.

So...it's sound vs. convenience. Also, people have said that edit operations are faster on the SX (and it's got Copy and Exchange for pads, too).

So again, it's convenience vs. sound. I personally like the 404's sound better, but I own SX. Also, a couple of effects changed between OG and SX (i.e. vinyl sim changed almost completely).

The speed of the SX spoils you. The Vinyl Sim Comp AND the wow flutter effect are way better on the OG. Thats why I own both.

The SX is WAY faster to work on. I FLY on it moving samples to diff pads/banks etc. and feels good to be able to work so quickly. I like the clean sound which I can treat post as desired. Also I use the SD card to move files on and off the SX to my laptop all the time. If you like the og404 sound I would look at the 555, I have one and it is really nice.
