SP808 EX questions for a potential user

a friend of mine is wanting to buy a sampler and is looking buying an sp808 ex, he likes the look of all the features on it but we were just wondering if anyone here knows much about zip disks/has any xperience with the sampler and has any useful info he could know? mainly asking because we were just reading the entry for it on vintage synth explorer which says it doesn't support WAV or AIFF files so is it possible to load samples onto it via the card as you would with a 404/555

you can load samples , you need to download the sp808 converter program from Roland's website. I know it works with win 7. I just rebuilt my pc rig so I haven't had the time to fully test it out.
