You can use anything the box offers but ONLY what the box offers!

I like your entry- good job. (ease up on that subsonic volume- block wav forms are not ideal- no dynamics)

I just chop large sections I do all the picking and real chopping on the SP. I always do this when the material provided is longer. So I end up with more or less random chunks of smaller size to work with rather than one long 2min sample or whatever. As for chopping out actual things you want to use on the SP no it all has to be done in the box. Here are the chunks I ended up with that I loaded on my SP. (If anyone feels like this is breaking the rules let me know)

Man I'm an idiot, I thought you had to like (rather arbitrarily) play the whole track in or bit by bit, this makes things so much faster!!!

Well I think some would have issue with my method. In essence it is arbitrary just a way to prep smaller chunks to start with. In most challenges the source material is shorter in length and I do not use a computer.it really does not save that much time. The point is definitelynot to pre trim specific things you are going to use as a single pad know what I mean?
It might actuallybe even quicker if you are running audio in to the SP and recording the material that way.

Man I can't not make these really structured rigid songs all the time, gonna try and do these more often so I can break out of my shell and not make like all 4/4 songs, you guys all have cool outside-the-box sounds (lame pun intended)...
