Buzzing sound when sp is connected to m-audio mini interface

Is this a problem when my sp, my interface or the settings on my computer?(windows 7 ultimate)

Sounds like a ground loop issue.

Try some of these options and see if makes it better.

1. Plug SP and laptop in different power outlets.
2. Run SP on batteries
3. Run laptop on batteries
4. Make sure you audio interface is set to line level and not phono input.
