Compact Flash ruined?

Post by birthpang »

Hello. I recently bought a SP-404. I received a compact flash that I ordered in the mail the other day. I tried formatting the memory card using the instructions from the manual. The first thing I did after formatting was record some sounds with the external input jack. When I would press the pad after recording I would be hearing horrific digital clicking over top of it. At one point even pads on the A and B bank that I had recorded onto BEFORE getting the memory card had a bunch of fucked-up noise on them instead of what I had recorded.

So I turned off the SP-404, took out the memory card and turned it back on to check the A and B banks; the sounds I had there were now perfectly fine. I put the memory card back in and now I can't seem to be able to initialize any function or reformat it, like none of the buttons seem to work when the memory card is in it.

Help please! What should I do?

LEU

Is Lost Effects Unit.

Buddy you just lost all your effects you had on your 404.
Easy to get them you just do the opposite to how you lost them.

I'm just joking man.
Try reformatting your card again and DON"T
take your card out when turned on!
