Hey SP-FAM, most of the old school clique out here probably remember our fellow Adru - he got locked up 10 months ago (got to know about it just recently, through the letter he wrote). I helped him a bit with putting his music on Bandcamp, so I had the passwords etc. and I published this album just now, as he asked me to. I think it's worth checking out especially for all the heads in here, it's pure 404 at its best.
Feel free to buy this album, as all the profits will go to Adru after he's back on his own feet.

Classic! Adru is so dope, his album Dying On My Feet was really important to me when it dropped years ago. I'm proud to say I live in the hometown of two of the producers on this album.. Johnny Quest (most of my giant record stash was his until his girl moved in and they needed storage space) and NezBeats.

i remember 'dying on my feet' as being the smoothest underground album I ever heard. When I stumbled on that album 2009ish, I was in my make 10 beats a week phase on the 404, had no knowledge of actual production and was just switching from beatmaker to producer/mc . Sometimes in my new mixes it reminds me of dying on my feet, because that's the smooth sound im going for, well to avoid an unholy shit storm of threadjacking I should probably leave it there for now. Hope homey gets out. Jail is absolutly the worst living enviroment in the world. Having almost zero human rights just isnt cool man.

my experience with the correctional system it did not correct me as a more civil human. I had to learn that on my own. Nor did I ever witness any correction going on. maybe in america. not canada. jail is traumatizing and will mess you up worse and set you up to become a hardened criminal .
to perpetuate the mentality like a cycle.

The mentality of the whole system is based on bullying from the top to bottom. I know theres programs and jobs, but it still is wrong.

The trauma I experienced in jail caused behavour disorders . leading to extreme anxiety and PTSD. it took almost 10 years to recover from.

I havent received any update from him yet, neither from Sankofa who forwarded the letter to me, but when I get some fresh info I will most definitely write it here. OR hopefully ADRU will do that himself!

You guys wrote about his "Dying on my Feet" album, this shit was ridicoulus when it dropper, I remember that. You could feel the soul in these rhymes and the music was so nicely fitted. I miss that, I'd love to to some more work with Adru as soon as he gets out.

all these words mean so much,yall have no idea. the idea of people listening to my shit the very minute I was sitting in a cell played a huge part in keeping me going. and most definitely thanks to those that threw me a few bucks..(boom bap man thank you so much)been out for a week,things are well...hope yall are doing good too.
