probably a bad crazy idea, but I wonder if there is way to wire the inputs back into the outputs somehow and then modulate a mic thru the synth on the 606 , i tryed to figure it out on the sample track, but couldnt make a vocoder, am i being silly ?

i have a zoom 1201 fx box, it has a vocoder inside. it is explained on the notes that you have to use the two ins (one for a mic, the other for an external synth/or whatever),then you can vocoder everything; i don't know how to apply that sort of "strategy" on the 606...
...how did you tried that on the sampletrak anyway??( )

hey man, i thought perhaps there was a secret hack to modulate with making feedback, turns out you cant and i was to stoned, but I have some guitar recording tips coming soon in the production area.

cool, let us hear something about it! i have some guit/shoegaze tracks on the go
anyway, the only way i tried to itnteract the 606 with external sources, i found the gate effect (#33) can duck internal sound or external sound, a sort of sidechain effect, but not so impressive indeed...who knows if trying that in conjuction with the internal synth...well, i don't know...

ok im coming back to reality slowly, i thought maybe by panning each source and then maybe find an effevt that math problems them together.

but i guess not, just some feedback. i want to try some phasing effects and maybe pink noise . to make the listener feel excited and not even know why, might be an evil trick though cause if your music sucks, you can still grab and keep the listeners attention. so i hear..

i want to fiddle with stereo izer, if you have a clean master ready to be pressed to something. running it thru steroizer )27 . will make you sound way more clear and let you push your lows a bit while concealing bad highs sort of it is a good finalizer, i find 606 eq to dull or to powerful and never want to run it over a mix again, a cool way to get a bit of crunch is run the stereoizer to lofi sample then a tiny bit of reverb to the master final .

i want to fiddle with the ducker and maybe and the enveloper somehow to get that fade ducking like lady gaga .

They are more complex than just combining 2 elements- but I bet your inspiration and experimentation will produce something interesting

Might be easier to make a talkbox. Take a speaker and create soundproof connection of it to a tube that goes in your mouth and whisper words with the tube in your mouth while talking into a mic.

You can do this quite cheaply if you have a DSi and a synth cart like DS-10 and splitting the end of a straw and taping it to the speaker and playing notes on DS10 while whispering with the straw in your mouth.

It's similar, but limited to vocal sounds + synths. Still dope, though.
