Would like to trigger sp404's pads via a KM12step

Hi guys,
Does anyone know how to trigger the sp404 using a midi expander (midi out) of their floor pedals. I have a set of Keith Mcmillen 12 step and have taken my output off of the Midi expander and put into the sp404's input.
By default the 1st channel on the 12 step is said to be channel 1 so I set channel 1 on the sp404. Then I found that no matter what pads I press on the km12stepI do not trigger the sample on the sp404's bank A channel one.

Now from reading the 404's literature it says B2 note #47 is bank A pad 1 and that it is note 47.

So far I get nothing. and my software editor for the km12step is down because the program software problems.

However the km still puts out signals because I've tested it in my daw.

Now some midi builds are numbered 1-128 other 0-127 how do I adjust for this if this is a problem.

it's not gonna help you but i add a percpad to play drum on the sp404sx , set the midi channel to 10 (common for drumpad) ,set the pad after 47(pad 1 on the sp) and set the midi sync on auto sync <-maybe it's this paramater to change for you
