just copped the sp 202 I was looking at buying and was also able to get a sampletrak st 224 with two 16mb smart media cards for 120.00 should have the sampletrak by mid week cant wait to start knocking out some heaters with that and the sp 202 thinking bout running both threw a roland vs 880 Im looking at getting also.

the 224 is a BOMB.
only weak points i found with it are: 1min per track; seq "sp303 style"; midi only in gate mode.
it could be an ill lofi combo with the 202 (i had it).

VS880 uses data compression- many newer offerings out there FYI.
I too have yet to utilize my 202 but looking forward to hear what you make!

The two both have a dirty sound. That is a ill combo. I got a SampleTrak but i got to get back a 202. I should have never sold my SP.

Im gonna ad the korg D1600MKII to my set up its the same joint dilla uses its better suited for what im doing. Oh Yeah anyone who still owns a sampletrak st 224 get at me I came across the ZMF Producer software that lets you load wav and aiff files and convert them over to ZMF. format for sampletrak I've already got like like six sample kits done . If anyone needs it shoot me a pm.
