Anybody mess with the Miniak or the Alesis Micron?

I have the Akai Miniak and I want to use that to send midi clock to the 404sx.
Beats on the 404 and synth loops from the miniak playing in time.

I have the 404 set to midi sync "tempo", and the miniak to generate clock.
Both are on channel 1. Midi out from miniak to midi in 404.

No luck though. It has me super stuck because it "should" work.
I made a post about this before just really trying to figure this out.

Does anyone have this setup or have other experience using an external clock with the 404sx?

I have a micron and 404sx. I can test out this setup later today and get back with you.

It worked for me without any problems.

On 404SX:
Push FUNC + 10
Turn right knob until you see TMP
Push REC

On Micron/MiniAK:
Push CONFIG
Turn dial until you see "MIDI: Sync" on the top line.
Push the dial in
Turn the dial until you see gen MIDI clock

Hook up MIDI OUT on Micron/MiniAK unto mIDI IN on SP404SX.

Your patterns on the 404 should play in sync with the 'tap' button's pulsing and any subsequent sequence triggers. Clock is independent of the channel. If you don't want to accidentally trigger pads on the 404, set your output on the Micron/MiniAK to ch2 and leave 404 on channel one.
