I just made it more difficult for spammers to sign up for an account. This might mean some regular folks might have difficulties signing up as well (they will need to answer some Roland/SP trivia), but at least we should have less spam. For existing users nothing changes (except for less/no spam hopefully).

Still lots of spam. Try to report as many of them as possible.
Maybe you should block anything with 'kitchen' or 'kitchen sale' as threadname and block anything with 'kitchen' as website in the user section. Dunno if spam is (still) legally allowed in the country the site is setup. If it isn't, you might wanna take them to court. Looks a bit harsh, but else they never learn :!:

PM KeesJ. He is the only administrator that can do anything. Trust me, I delete over 20 spam posts a day, I'm totally sick of it too.

There's only a few options.

1. update bbphp
2. make new users get approved by a moderator
3. make the captcha harder
4. migrate from something other than bbphp

Like I said, I don't have the administrator privileges to do this so bug KeesJ.

Hey guys how is the spam problem at the moment? I spoke with Keesj and he made sure no new members (mostly spammers) can sign up for now, untill we figure out a way to keep the spammers at bay. So there will be no more new spammers coming to the forums.

We are currently looking at solutions to make sure we still can accept new members.

All new users must be approved by an Admin before they can make a post. KeesJ has been taking care of this, so he's the man you wanna thank :)

Pretty sure it's AI generated... Interesting to see it try and datamine the way ppl talk around here and mimic the hipness haha! Give it a few years and we'll never know the difference ( until we find ourselves buying essays online ;))
