Another weird problem

Hi there,

wondering if any of you have had this happen...

my sp303 makes a weird sort of ticking noise when i'm not pressing any sample pads, almost like there's an echo and then when i play a pad it sometimes only outputs sound to one side of the stereo set up.

and then it also sometimes shuts itself off and back on - like a powercycle.

here's my guess: i bought the SP 303 when i lived in the uk. i have to use an adapter to plug it in, here in the US. maybe its a grounding problem?

ideas / troubleshooting advice would be ace!

The power may be the problem. I'd go pick up a compatible power cable and try it again. The other thing I'd check would be the SM card. Try taking that out and see if it happens when you sample to just A/B. The card could be dirty or damaged. It may be a combination of both. The power on and off because of the adapter, the sound problems due to the card.
