Sampletrak and daw

wanting to get into making tracks and bought a sampletrak and 49key midi controller. I think I want to use reaper as a daw.How would you guys recommend sequencing the sample track in reaper so I can put all my sounds on separate tracks.

you could sequence your loops inside the sample track then place the "volume/bass" (with volume set to zero) on all pads except the one pad you're recording in. you would have to do this for each part of the song you want to record but i don't think there's a faster way..

this is the track by track method, and works ok
another more complex method could be to record 2 mono tracks simultaneously, by extremely panning drums on left (or right) and sample/bass etc on the other; this is useful if you want to record a song with many improvvisations in order to keep that feel on the track, and still letting you mixing possibilities...

I just ordered it Thursday so I haven't got it yet. I'll try this method out.

if you have an sp then you can sample the sample trak and keep the grit but have unlimited sampletrak time. thinking of that I, think im going to sequence drums in the 224 and sample the loops. because the swing on the 224 is serious buisness. the 606 has a decent tick, but my 606 stop button is buggy so i never use the sequencer on it. just the pads.so back to flip flopping 606 to 224. sp compression and vinyl sim might not be so great for some things, i found i was trying to sample a mp3 song (non illegal recording) my real clean round kicks were clicking at the start. and i don't know why it's annoying as shit though. it comes from nowhere on random drums. if they arent there, they will be eventually, gonna onlyy use vinyl sim for warbalizing samples not so much for compression, the 555 compressor on vinyl sim sounds real good. but not 404 and 606 , the 404 vinyl sim is almost the same as sound goodizer, it just smashes your sound
. it sounds good if your drunk. so i guess what im trying to say is the vinyl sim on 404 606 will make the sample track start clicking and shit and cracking bad on beats.

anyway, I was pitching drums up with ring modulator making real pop out the speaker kicks. so try using a sampler then you have a better way to record your sounds., i dont consider my 224 a workstation however for emergencies, it certainly has everything you need.

watch your meters too or just check your beat on the computer wave and then turn down anything thats sticking out.
