Can you combine/merge 2 samples on 2 pads into one pad?

Example: I like to overlay my hi-hats by down pitchin 1 on a seperate pad and keepin' another on different pad.. Instead of me using the mirco editing and manual punchin it in to match the other free hand hi-hat can I combine the two onto 1 pad? So I only have to tap the pad once?

Of course I have tha Sp606..

if i understand what yr asking - yeah, you do it w/ resample.

resample to pad 3, when the recording starts, hit pads 1 and 2 at the same time (one w/ yr pitched down hat, the other with the normal hat).

voila, pad 3 now has those two hats combined (depending on your timing!)

Hi twitch

With the 606, when you are resampling you can get it to automatically trigger samples when you start the recording/resampling. the screen that comes up just after you have selected which pad you want to resample too, will ask which pads you want to resample from. just press the relevent pads and you will see the coresponding pad/bank number pop up towards the top of the screen.

Once they are up you can alter the velocity of each individual sample and also, i think by pressing one of the function keys, hear an example of what the new sample will sound like.
