side a/side b

Post by thomkeating »

aye yall

been coming to this board since i became interested in copping my own sp and now my friend and i have each made and released our own tapes made purely on our individual sp's. the tapes were made over the course of a little less than a week and were just uploaded to each of our individual bandcamps here:

http://calthaddeus.bandcamp.com/
http://cyrusis.bandcamp.com/

i was mostly responsible for side a and cyrus is for side b, though almost every track has contributions from the both of us so we decided to release them together.

anyways long story short we're hoping to get some feedback and exposure, so please help us out just by listening and downloading if you like our music.

peace

Now this tape is bumpin'.
Some ill samples.
The drums are grimey.
It's got grit written all over it.

You should have scrounged up a couple hundred bucks and put out a cassette release on this. I'd cop it. As it is, I'm gonna have to record this to tape after download.

There's definitely some talent heard in this.
You got it on Soundcloud too? You can gain a little following there.
I suggest pitching it in an email submit to some blog sites that might post a stream.
You accomplished the first step in making dope music. Now you just got to promote it.
The site is outdated now, but audiblehype.com has some good articles on DIY music promotion that may be a worthwhile read for you.

But good way to start a first post on a forum, having some ill music you made to link to.
Congrats on the tape.

Thanks for the kind words Matt.

We actually bounced it to tape and back, and were on the fence about doing a small cassette release. Only problem is, we're kinda broke after buying the SP's.

We are taking all of what you said in mind, the advice is appreciated.

Here are our soundclouds:

From there^ you can find links to more of our content, like my tape "Offline".
