LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio) is a freeware DAW, but as far as i know, it's still 'work in progress'. If you wanna check it out, here's the official site http://lmms.sourceforge.net/home.php
Cant wait till they figure out fruityloops for Mac, best program ever. It is in BETA now. Been using it since FL 3 and now im in this Ableton loop but I'd rather just use FL studio.

im back on fruity loops sometimes, because my 606 buttons dont work good enough. try to disable the default limiter on the master channel to get a more flat response, it sounds like that limiter muffles the kicks and bass.
Running Parallels, nah. I have a pc as well as a mac, just trying to move away from the pc since i use macs at work all day. I'll just wait till they drop it for mac then its on!

Ha!. Yeah, they're nice, and they also suck ass! I mean, the monitors lose some of their luster when I open the blinds. But right out those windows is a private farm, where I see 7 cows, a horse, and a donkey roaming by now and then.

Just started getting into Ableton after 9 years of fruity. Gotta say it's very refreshing, intuitive and quick. Still a beginner though.. gotta be patient
