You can get the Mikro also if you don't want to spend hundreds of bucks on the OG Maschine.

I've got the Maschine Mikro MKII and it's awesome. IT does lack a few more knobs that I do miss at times, but you get the full Maschine software and it's perfectly possible to make great music with it. I am not sure if buying the og Maschine over the Maschine Mikro MKII would make any sense though, the changes with the MK2 series it worth more to me (in particular better pads, knobs and buttons, better build overall).

Maschine doesn't include audio tracks though, something greatly missed by anyone used to the MV8800, og MPCs and so on. MPC Studio isn't worth balls at the moment, it's software isn't quite there yet. Maschine on the other hand is fairly solid, even when there's a slight learning curve.
