505 compression vs 404

Quick question, I understand the 505 is very close to the 303 fx wise. My 303 broke and I HATE how 404 comp/vinyl sim comp eats the bass up and takes away a lot of low end. I'm curious if the505 comp has a better low end when using it? Thanks

can't answer you're question but you could maybe retain the bass through an external eq

Thanks man! I do use the eq's but that 404 just rapes the low end so much. It should be in jail.

i don't remember the 404 compression but i still got both the 505 and 303 and compression on 505 is flatten on it than the one on the 303...
