SP404 won't import all my samples

I don't think I'm doing this right. I'm following the steps to try and import .wav files into the sampler but it'll only import a select few. Is there a reason for this?

404 can only import 16 bit wav files, the ones that are not importing are probably not 16 bit. Check that first.

OK! I checked the samples, converted the ones that weren't but I went back and re-read the manual like 4 times and found that my samples we're most likely too short. a majority of them are at the 00:00:00 length. So I tried using a short beat and it works!
