Does the 505 match other SP's fx?

What's up guys,

I might be able to get a sweet deal on a 505 but since I'm quite a noob to the whole SP family I've got a couple of questions..

I'm looking to use the 505 mainly for FX and live sets, my main tool for sampling and sequencing is my Maschine MK2.

I owned a 404SX for a short while and I really dug the effects it has, how do the 505's effects compare to this?

Is it still even recommendable to buy a 505 or should I just save money for something better/more stable?

i have a 404 og and a 505.. I like the 404 effects way better.. I think the roland effects beat out the boss effects but there are a few exceptions: for example the vinyl sim on the boss devices sound very nice

the fx are the same (as for the 303) EXCEPT the looper fx, but, owned the 3 (404,505,303) i can say that the ones on the 303/404 sound better, even if the a/d converters on the 505 seems the same as on the 303...

unfortunately the dj looper fx are only on the 404(og/sx)/555...

maybe you could try a Korg mini_KP or if you get an ipad some day check LiveFX and Turnado.
