Hey. I'm brand new to the forum as I just got an SP-404.

I was playing around trying to learn about the machine and I found some samples I like. Is there a way to record a freestyle without using the pattern editor?

you can't do it in machine .. yood need an external device to record onto(peacee or other recording device) .. you could export the beat then record the beat plus freestyle in 1 take into the 404( or the other way round


so..

freestyle mic in + play beat on 404 > record into peacee

or play beat into 404 from peacee + freestyle mic in
