still biting Dilla..

Post by LesPasta »

monday I was working with students in a painting class and the were playing music on a boom box from the local 'urban format' station..

a song came on that used the exact same vocal and musical samples as J Dilla's "stop !" from the Donuts album… I didn't have time to turn it up and analyze but i don't believe it was Dilla's version, does anyone know who's song this is ? I would like to listen to it and find out who produced it etc

Dude, you never heard about that site?: http://www.whosampled.com
It`s the best site for this. Sample chains are also cool.

Speaking of another new track that used the same sample that Dilla used...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paqRQTmRvZc

0:00-0:05 and you can hear it in the background throughout the track.
SP-303 + SP-404SX + SP-555
I got the answers.
