How do u make a scale out of samples to play different notes

How can I get a sample and make it in different notes to make a scale

I don't under stand how chromatic pitch shift works ?

You have to put knob 1 and 2 in the same position, but sound is stilll "blurry".
If you have a short sample it's better to use MFX24 i think.
