Has anyone tried to do anything with a 303? I would never mess with the black red and silver, but just curious.

I suggest picking up an extra faceplate to do it. google "sp 404 skins"

you could ask forat if they would do a sp404. but its gonna cost alot.

maby a street painter could hook you up. something like this

i dont know if they are good at painting small detailed shit though.

do you want somebody to do it for you?

Then just buy the faceplate and get at some street artist.

i'd also like a North American place to order from (obviously, canada, but that doesn't seem to come up on google).

What's GT, mostblunted? You have a link, maybe?

By the way, somehow I missed that thread where you posted pix of the skinned 404 - nice work. tres dope.

well, this is something of a mystery.

I've never seen the faceplates in a Guitar Center I've been to, but I've only ever been to two.

The cheapest i've seen them from Uk/Europe is about $60 shipped, which is a bit silly for a little piece of plastic.

I've emailed Roland US and they said to call their customer service line as they didn't know anything about it, and I did. I never got to talk to anyone however. It just kept bumping me back to the menu.

*sigh*

anyone know where I can order a black one in the US?

i hear ya. i wrote the company (thomann) and asked them if they have a canadian distributor. they wrote back to say they don't. so i replied and asked if they have a US one, and they never got back to me.

one of us could make millions (or at least, tens) supplying the SP-Hordes.

thomann will deliver world wide BUT you have to order like three to meet their minimum order price.

sounds like we've all been in touch with this company

i actually ordered one with a credit card (few months before i discovered this forum) but they wouldn't accept any currency except Euros. in retrospect; fuck 'em, i'll make my own like Mostblunted and iG9 have, both of theirs are more ill and unique than those euro-skins

actually, what i was thinking was kinda sample their idea.
what is that film that people use?
it's not just this but also MPC's. you could get the face plate schematics then design something on your pc, and then just print it out. you scan hand drawn stuff. it peels off and protects the faceplate, which is kinda cool.

edit: just found this, a funny read if anyone's interested:
http://musicthing.blogspot.com/2006/03/ ... -gear.html

"Förste stood his ground, claiming that it was more red than pink, and explaining himself: "I'm not a female. Förste Mördaren means 'the first killer' in Swedish.""
