Re: SPB#144 VOTING
Yea had to vote for teewok as well. Although pumkin was a close 2nd.
I was digging the breaks on DJ Ks beat and the synths on SebP's. And I got to give props to gis_sweden for not giving a fuck . No drums, and less than 30 seconds. that's very much to the point ha.
Prop's to everyone else for participating.

Re: SPB#144 VOTING
My choice was between MORK!CHOP and SEBP. I ended up going with SEBP.
Honorable mention goes to Teewok.

I'm not a good critic but here's my half-ass sum-ups.
.pumkin - I dig it. That snare is harsh but in a good way, i think. That sound at :34 and :43 works nice.
DJ KS - Sounds good. Nice piano riff!
gis_sweden - Otherworldly, as usual.
Concrete Belly - Great work!! My second favorite so far.
SEBP - Really dope!! Another favorite.
MORK!CHOP - Its got a nice swing. Damn good beat for sure.
Frankie Lee - Nice, lax Lo-Fi tune. Seems a bit off but to each their own.
Noctusari - Creative and original.
Teewok - Fire, as usual. I don't focus on the competing aspect of these battles, but still i forfeited this one when i heard yours. Other reasons i didn't submit for this one, were:
A) I injured my foot moving a recliner upstairs to my apartment last wednesday and had to work all week regardless, so the pain was exhausting.
B) in the Bacharach song I found a couple nice bars to loop and beatboxed and rhymed over them. Check it out- http://soundcloud.com/chopperman/were-gonna-live

Pumkin-Nice shuffly beat, really liked the slightly off rhythm you had going on, great pumping drums too.
Teewok-Great overall crisp quality. had those drums pounding and sounding sweet. The change up you had at 47 was totally unexpected and a whole different vibe to the beginning and once the drums kicked in again BOOM!! awesome
DJ KS-Nice mood you created here. I like the use of the piano.
GIS- Nice panning effect and the sinister whirring that's there in the background. Something pretty sinister going on with this. Short but sweet.
SEB P- WOOOO!!! Hadn't listened to this one prior to all the entries coming in, Loving it right from the start though. Reaaally like those drums. Nice use of the samples. 1.31 I didnt expect that but was a really interesting change that worked really well. Drums sounded sweeeeet.
MORK!CHOP- Great shuffly rhythm, enjoyed the slightly off sounding beat that kept it pushing forward. Nice use of vocal samples. Good work.
Frankie Lee- Nice lofi sounding drums. Nice use of the female vocal sample.
Noctusari- Liked how you used the sample, had it going at a really different pace than the other beats. Kindve a crazy, all over the place rhythm but it works well. I like how you encorporated both drum samples, or it sounds like you did.
Difficult one between seb p and teewok, gonna go with SebP just because I really loved those drums especially that snare. Good work all round though.

Re: SPB#144 VOTING
Congrats to Teewok! And everybody else. This is really cool. It was my first battle and I had a blast. It's interesting to have to work with samples you didn't chose and rules. thanks for voting for me too.
