SP-404 no longer powers up

how did you fix the cf socket on your sp-404? mine wont turn on when a brand new roland brand card is in it unless i push it pretty hard with my thumb. then it turns on but it wont acknoledge the card to let me format it. should i open this thing up and check what out?

I just had the same problem and it power up as soon as I ejected the flash card. Super weird.

will I lose anything on my flash card if I do the factory reset? I think the factory reset only affects bank A and B?
