We've had a few beat battles in downtown lake worth. At Propaganda and Speakeasy.

And I'm trying to find enough beat makers that are interested in doing a live beat set so I/we can start a bi weekly beat showcase.

Yeah, it's def a drive. I actually know a dude from your area that goes by Dr. Laflow. I may have like 2-3 producers friend's that I talk to at shows. I usually dig at thrift stores or Radio Active. But we do have some record stores. There's actually one right by Propaganda.

I was thinking about trying to round up a local beat battle or meet-up or something similar for South FL. Anyone interested? Would love to connect with some beat heads here and share ideas etc.

Also not sure if you guys have heard of WVUM but its the radio station for University of Miami (locally it's 90.5 FM). In addition to a regular rotation show I host I'm currently cooking up an underground hip hop/beat show I'll post about it when it's ready but y'all should tune in.

Lol some of my music has been played at that station when i used to produce with my friend Kairo under the name CHALK.

Im down for the beat battles and meet ups. We need to bring Miami together as a community. So much crazy shit going on. We need to get more recognition.

Couldn't agree more. It saddens me to be watching all of these incredible crews/collectives forming around the country and to feel as though there isn't an equivalent here in SF that's organizing all of the great stuff happening locally.

Let's keep this post going for a bit and see what traction we can gain. Down to organize something soon. Just a couple of people would be enough if any of youz wanna start talking to friends and building interest.

And my show is Tuesdays 5-7 PM. I try to cram as much of my own hand-picked stuff on there as possible to max out the head-nod factor. I'll give the forums a shout out this week!

I'm down for the beat meets. And for the producer showcase I mentioned, I just have to find some people that are into doing live sets and can drive to Lake Worth. So far I only know one person that's definitely down.
