nice place to work Green, it looks like a very nice/relaxing/dope place to get inspired and get creative, I also like to keep my studio clean and organized, it is the only way I can start working... if it's messy I will start organizing so then I get tired and no music at all lol

This is my SP/Low budget studio area, I just copped the 606 so I sit it next to my lovely 505, my Numark PT01, a pair of cheap ($49 shipped @ musiciansfriend.com) Alesis Elevate3 studio monitors just for reference, headphones and peep my new Telex ACC-4000 cassette tape duplicator, this beast can duplicate a 60 min cassette master and make 3 copies in just 2 mins, and I am saying can copy both sides of the tape in 2 mins! besides that will rewind all tapes in just 30 seconds!

Well with monitors it's a trade off.

The bass is better is they're close together.
And the stereo image is better when they're far apart.


If you're doing alot of mono-ish stuff with big low-end, that's the way to go.

Thanks for the monitor recommendation but I have it like that basically because the space... and like I said I use this monitors just for reference... in the other side of the studio I have my digi 003 mixing console, the PC and the M-Audio BX8a studio monitors where I mix down the beats, so I use this only when I don't want to use the headphones but for mixing purpose I use the real deal

thanks riPaddo. i just got the 303 a couple weeks ago and i love it. Sure makes my drums sound more alive.

Been looking for small/good/cheap studio monitors. Tired of using my headphones even though it helps to zone out.

yo not to start an argument here but putting the monitors together will not "make the bass sound better" or anything to that effect. just because you are hearing more bass doesn't mean its better. you'll also hear more bass in the corner of a room, that doesn't mean you should be making Miami bass music in the corner of your room.

ving-- even if you're short on space, put the right monitor in between the 505 and pt-01. even if you're not mixing there still separate the monitors. you want an equilateral triangle between your ears and the monitors, with the cones pointing at your head and your ears in between the woofer and tweeter. if you can't raise them, angle them up so they're pointing at you
