Hello people from SP forum.

Got na SP303 like 3 weekend and been reading alot the posts to learn and i've been learning alot. I don't know if the question i am going to do is already on the forum, but i couldn't find in the search.

I am from Brazil, and can't find some equipaments down here... A friend of mine is going to US and i am telling her to get a tape recorder for me. I am doing all my beats on the SP and want to record it on tape. Can you guys tell me wich one Tascam Portastudio is better? Or other similar...

Thanks in advance.
Sorry for my english, still learning.

Respekt
BS.

I've got a 424 mkIII....it's super badass. It's kinda big, though. If you're looking for something smaller, maybe snag a porta05?

Tascam Porta 02 is smallest by far with fewest features. If you don't need multi tracking and just a good cassette recorder then just get that and not a multi tracking recorder. With cassette be aware the more tracks it supports the smaller the tracks are on the tape itself resulting in lower and lower quality and fidelity.

There are also really nice very small digital multi track recorders that are inexpensive (but not analog tape). I have used a Zoom H1 with great results.

I've got the 424 mkii... Scored it in mint condition off craigslist for 70 bucks! The guy had no idea what he had.... I love it. The only drawback is that you can't put any "english" on the transport buttons, meaning that they click on and off, you can't hold them halfway down and do weird stuff... But it sounds great.
