synth to roland sp ?

Hey guys first time on the forums and I have a question before I buy my first sampler ...

I have a microkorg and I want to connect it to the 555 but I don't want to sample it i want to play it out of the 555 live into the PA and use effects now and then ... Is there a way to do this without using midi ?.. and can the 404 do this aswell ( still unsure if I want the 404 or 555)

Your help would mean a lot to me and save me $$$ lol

Yes u can do this with line in. Run your microkorg into that and turn line on. You can turn the effects on and off for your line in by pressing effect grab and the line button. It will also affect whatever is coming thru on the mic in as well. Just remember that you can only use on effect at time so if u r using effect on line in that effect Is only one available at time but can be used on pads as well.

You my friend have answered my question very well iv been searching the web for it everywhere .. but thank you I'd assume it would be the same thing for the 404 aswell .

If 404 has external in i would think so but not sure. Never had a chance to check out 404.
