time signanture problem

first I dont know theory or complex timings,
but i fluked my last 3 bar guitar riff with
drums,this time the riff is longer, the
pattern is set to 4 bars 130 bpm, 4/4 .

the guitar riff I play will loop over that 4
bars and finish at beat 2.2 . so if i switch
it to 5 bars length it still doesnt loop
right, Maybe I should just play it on time,
then put it back on the sequencer at 4 bars
then adjust the tempo,or is there a trick to
getthe right pattern length on the sequencer.

well i figure if i slap it back on as 4 bars and slow the pattern down,
it will mess with the time, cause i want to eventually make the whole
song in the sp but I obviously have to track live stuff out on something
else. and bounce the riffs around, but heres the super rough cut, maybe
someone knows whats going on. attached

just counted it out and its 4 bars, i'm tripping out shit, maybe it will
work now. some weird shit was goin on when I was recording it, the
vibe shifted a few times, and ended up speeding it to 140, so maybe
i just played it at 4 bars, i dunno

Your guitar parts are all 4/4 in the example you uploaded- sounds fine. Stick to 4/4 and if you have a 3/4 song trying to do it on an SP will be a headache. I do lot's in odd times on guitar but on something like the SP you would have to just ignore tempo and BPM and just do it all by hand or sequence it on one long pattern with lots of measures, still might not work right. You cannot get the BPM to be correct if you try to do odd sigs on an SP again as it only supports 4/4. (maybe the 606 and 808 but I do not own those)
