Hey man. Me and wifey visit Brighton every year for the last few years but havent been able to find any good beats/hip hop nights. Maybe i'm looking in the wrong places. I'm coming from 17th-21st September. Do you know of any nights going down? Only found Rarekind records last time I went. Coming from a small town that place is heaven for me man!

Not aware of anything going down at the moment. Brighton has seen some great music in the past but I've not encountered any full on 'beat nights' or anything yet.

Me and Susan Balmar tried to organise something awhile back but time, money, and double booking venues put a stop to it. Maybe one day!

I did see not to long ago that the Globe (little two floor bar off the front) were talking about about doing a sort of open mic style night but for electronic performers. I bet the amounts of SPs in the place would be crazy! Could get an amazing jam session going. They're also doing a regular Ableton usergroup which i'd like to go to but Ableton just pisses me off these days. Just sitting there being all german with its infinite number of tracks and effects. Just waiting for my 606 in the mail this week hopefully!.
