SP Battle 139 - "SP Mariachis"

Post by disDope Circus »

OK amigos, here's your samples, use one or both:

De Mañana En Adelante
https://app.box.com/s/orutn0wvb2xgdcwjl974

Danza del Molinero - Paco de Lucía
https://app.box.com/s/0i4m8d2v77a318rcjatn

And your drums:

As usual, outside the SP you can use some compression & EQ to master, otherwise lets keep in the box.

Ya got 10 days
Good Luck!

Cool thanks!!
PS is that Paco De Lucia or Luca?
Love the OLD mariachi- sounds like old country and western and similarly is way better than contemporary versions by far.

Man, I went and sat on a mountain top at 2am last night to watch the meteors and started working with the material on my 404- the drums and Lucia stuff has SUCH a beautiful atmosphere and I had this really mellow beautiful loop going with it- it was really great. I need to try harder to put more "space" on things but I shy away from the verb on the 404 I don't like it much. Maybe I can find other ways. Thanks again!

Yeah sorry dude, Chromatic Pitch Shifter is kinda rough, but that's what we've got :)

I want to see what you fine folk can do with a naked SP - just as nature intended.

MAAAAN its been a while since I participated in one of these, been meaning to join in the last few but never managed to get anything out.
Finally managed to get a quick resampled beat together, used the guitar track as the main samples and the second track with sub bass for the bass.

hey, this is my first battle, and this is also the first beat i made with my 404SX using resampling. i don't think i could possibly explain how i made this track, but i pretty much covered samples in effects and resampled and did that over and over until i came to this. and then i recorded it to tape and then into my computer.
