Hey SP heads...
In the quest for less bullshit and more minimalism in my life, I deleted my Facebook last week...
Seriously, I actually had withdrawal. Wtf?
Yeah, so that all has faded and I feel VERY much clearer in the head...soooo much less noise....the weight of constant 'look at me! Look at me!' Facebook bullshit has been lifted.

Anybody here have an opinion on FB, social networking?
It seems to have cleared up a lot of TIME.

Wy do people rely so much on FB?
This all came about cuz I had a constant weird feeling, almost like stress, then I got to trying to think what times were like before Zuckerburg got us all to flush our brains down the commode...

I have disabled my FB account multiple times over the years. It was always good for me. WAY too much stimulation, information, and distraction. I ended up wanting it to get invites to friend's shows. Now I have most folks hidden and only look at it every few days. no notifications, etc. I think when you cut down on the virtual you create more room for real things to happen, even if it is just sitting quietly reading a book!
:)

I wish the internet would go back to days of just newgroups, personally.

Way too much noise on the internet in general.

We'd be alt.music.badass.spfam

:)

WHOAH, not just next song title... Next SP forums mixtape title?

Honestly I like the idea of Facebook & other social networks but the execution? Nah, pass. Too much bullshit posted on them, I'd rather talk shit in a focused place like this or just meet up with friends.
