Man...I just ordered another sp404sx to pai with my other sp404sx...
Overkill?
I just love that little monster SO much...

I spent 3 hours last night running old Elvis gospel through the 404sx's effects...SO sweet.

Oh hell no, that's awesome. I just got a 555 and it is really nice but I can totally see rockin 2 404SX, they sound great, fast, never hiccup, etc.
Have fun!!

I've always wondered what it's gonna be like to rock 2 of the same sp's, once you know the unit backwards/forwards. To me, one can do the kicks/snares/toms/crashes/hi-hats, the other basslines, vocal samples, loops, or just all the things you'd want the first sp to have, but not enough pads/memory for. I don't know what you've got in your current setup, but if you were planning to play live, I think it'd be fun to use your 2 sp404s, a dj mixer, and a kaoss pad, and perhaps a deck/cdj. That would be a dope set for sure! But have fun either way.

Oh, and use MIDI between the 2 to sync playback

Hey. Yeah, I'm stoked...I love the 404sx, but I wish ya could resample with the external input....I'm basically going to be using both SP's to shuttle samples/resample a between each other with live external 'performance'.
I'm not planning on using these to play live (yet).
I'm currently working on tunes that I can put together as a CD or album or record (or whatever it's called these days! Lol).
My studio will be the 2 sp404sx's, a T.E. OP-1, and a 4 track cassette portastudio (424mkIII).
Man...I'm so much more inspired being totally away from computers....

Anyhow, I guess I'll hook the SP's together for sampling each other, and alternate turning on the external input switch on the appropriate SP to avoid feedback loops. Is this how you cats wielding dual SP's rock it?

Thanks all.
I can't wait to share my record with you guys/gals.

Thanks dudes...
I'm mostly done with my album, which was done on just one single 404...now I'll throw down some overdubs with the new 404, then I should be done.
Thanks again for all the encouragement!

My stuff is pretty weird/abstract/experimental, but the new 'album' has a lot more beats and melodies.
