I got banned for talking about ALEC. I guess they were thinking I was serious when I said to go piss and shit on the people attending because that's what they're doing to our laws...

It's non violent, so I don't see what the deal is. Unless them bitches on that other board think ALEC is a good idea...lol

It's a semi-secret organization in the united states where corporations meet with state officials and hand them bills to go back and try to pass in their state which do nothing but give corporations more rights over individuals and keeps them from being accountable for anything.

The last ALEC meeting resulted in many states passing laws that turned whisteblowers who film inhumane treatment of animals in large farms into criminals, in other words, it circumvents all existing laws that prevent animal cruelty because it costs money to give that extra 6" of space to chickens and to pay people who aren't psychotic to not sling pigs around by the legs to bash them in the head against a brick to kill them.

I'm not a big animal rights guy, but a law is law and if a law is passed, corporations shouldn't be exempt. It's discrimination and almost all ALEC laws propose discrimination and/or allows lying and misinformation to consumers.

It was apparently a temp ban, but I'm not going back. The admin has this clique and if you aren't in line with the clique 100%, you get random warnings and bans. I don't even miss the place anyway.
