Re: Other good music forums?
Thanks for sharing.
To be honest, now that I really think about it, I'm not sure why I asked. Between this site, soundcloud, facebook, stones throw, reddit, and youtube, I spend way more than enough time on the web. I'd like to get involved with tumblr though, and try to put more time into visual art. Its hard to balance it all, but a few days ago I drove by 3 huge dry erase boards on the side of the road, picked them up and hung them in each room of my apartment. That should help.
Before I had internet at my place I used to get home from work and go straight to the SP, often not even changing out of my uniform. Now I go to my laptop first, and end up getting sucked in.
While I'm sharing as if y'all are my therapists... Here's the schedule I just wrote up for this week. Dorky, I know, but it seems necessary for me to organize my thoughts in order to get my shit together and keep it moving on all fronts.

Check out Jean Grae performing this wonderful song about trying to change your life for the better. Gotta love her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJM7bY72Bgo

I think I'm going to record that to my SP, then upload it to my phone to use as my wake-up alarm. I better add that to my checklist.

Jean Grae ´s dope. Would be a nice wake-up song, indeed.

Re: Other good music forums?
i know the 'straight to the computer after work' syndrome all too well, although lately i've gotten better at going a few days at a time without hittin my message board routine and just going straight to the record room
i also need to quit drinking, every weekend is a total shit show, sunday i'm bed ridden, then by tuesday (monday this week) i'm back to drinking a few of either a creamsicle gin drink (polar orange vanilla, polar orange dry/sanpellegrino orange, and some gin) or makers straight while spinning through records for the evening, i'm trying to drop the liquor on weekends when drinking with friends though, thats a guaranteed black out followed by hazy shame the next day

The sky framed by the horizon. I think the idea has potential to make some awesome images. Here's the first one.

Re: Other good music forums?
Turns out I set my goals too high. I kicked total ass Monday, partial ass Tuesday, and not much ass today. My new list is a "try to do this shit in the next few days" type list. A more realistic list. Trying to put the list in realist.
In other news, I found something exceptionally dope at a thrift shop recently. Peep this cooler/stereo that I bought for no more than 4 bucks. It was originally marked at $7 but red tags were half-off that day. Its good as new and the speakers sound good and get loud. Perfect for disc golf or walking to the store.. or maybe a picnic with my SP.
That day, I also found a "supertape" unwrapped on sale for 25 cents.
Plus, about a month ago, I found a nice Pioneer stereo with surround sound for just over $30.
Don't call it luck. Its persistence. Thrift shop persistence.
