According to Korg's website, the only difference between XL and XL+ is the colors and a few rompler sounds.
So it's the XL plus minor additions, sort of like KP3 and KP3+ or the ESX and ESXSD.
Nothing to get alarmed about. However, you might be able to get OG XL cheaper now on the bay or CL because of this.

I played around with a microkorg XL for a little bit but didnt do much other then play with presets. I was wondering if aside from the presets if i can create my own patches?hseiken wrote:According to Korg's website, the only difference between XL and XL+ is the colors and a few rompler sounds.

From what I understand, there's a PC program that lets you program patches. Otherwise, you got presets with a couple of 'sweet knobs' that control the sound in an interesting way right out of the box.
I can't speak from experience on the editor, but if it's anything like the KP3 editor, it's probably an afterthought and only for the hardcore.
